In Type Tool Group 2nd tool is 

Area Type Tool

This tool is used to type text in a frame. We can create text frame with any shape, create the shape then click with area type tool it will convert to text frame.

 

Type on a Path Tool

This tool is used to type text on a path. we can create Path with pen tool or we can create any shape then click with type on a path tool and start typing.

Vertical Type Tool

This tool is used to type text vertically.

Vertical Area Type Tool

This tool is used to type text vertically in a Text Frame.

Vertical Type on a Path Tool

This tool is used to type text vertically on a Path.
