Traditional Animation

Traditional Animation is also known as classical Animation. Traditional Animation is oldest form of Animation. In ancient days Disney also used to do Animation with this technique.
In Traditional Animation, animator draws every frame of Animation sequence. Animator draw images on a transparent piece of paper fitted on a peg, using colored pencils.
As we use flipbooks in our childhood. Sequential Drawings Screened quickly one after another creates illusion of movement.
Today, though, traditional Animation can be done on a Computer using a tablet and does not require actual Photography of Individual frames.

2d Animation

2D = 2 Dimensions
Width & Height
2D Animation is vector based animation. It looks like flat Animation no depth. 2D Animation uses bitmaps and Vector Graphics for the Animation.
Software used for 2D Animation are Adobe Animate (Previously known as Flash) Toon-boom, After Effects.

 

3d Animation

3D = 3Dimensions
Width, Height & Depth


In 3D Animation Objects created for Animation in 3D Environment. We can move and rotate objects like real objects; it gives the feel of depth.
3D Animation is the heart of video games & Virtual Reality.
Software used for 3D Modeling & Animation are Autodesk 3Ds Max, Autodesk Maya, Cinema 4D, blender, zbrush.

Motion Graphics

Motion Graphics consist of 2 words Motion+ Graphics.
It means in this type of Animation we have to give movement to graphics. Text is major Component in Motion Graphics.
We use Text, Graphics & images in Motion Graphics.
Animated Logos, TV Commercials, Explainer Videos, News Shows, film opening Titles are the most important examples and today it’s highly popular.
Software used, After Effects & Cinema 4D.

 

 

Stop Motion

It consists of 2 words Stop+ Motion. Stop Motion is the sequence of still images that creates motion.
Stop Motion is done by a sequence of still images that clicked by small manipulation, small increments or changes made & clicked the photographs for each frame. When all images played together it creates motion.
